How it works

Math facts are the alphabet of the language of math.

Accelerated Math Fluency software manages tasks that are best automated by technology: generating practices, timing tests, scoring, and reporting results. The report data can help inform teachers' instructional decisions, signal the need for interventions, and motivate students to take ownership of their practice.

These are the steps:

  1. Baseline test. Students complete a 40-item timed test at the computer for each new math level. Immediate on-screen feedback provides students with their time and accuracy data, and shows any missed problems, establishing a personalized baseline.
  2. Personalized practice. Using any of Accelerated Math Fluency's variety of tools, students then practice a mix of known and unknown facts, including those that typically cause the most difficulty at their levels and any missed on the previous test, and receive immediate corrective feedback.
  3. Timed test for mastery. Students complete 40-item timed tests for additional practice until all problems are answered correctly within a mastery time goal. Students quickly develop the confidence they need to succeed with the program.
  4. Automatic advancement. As students master their current levels, the program automatically assigns the next math levels to fit any curriculum. Students can also challenge their best times on previously mastered levels at any time.
  5. Instant information for teachers. Detailed reports give you an instant snapshot of how each student is progressing toward grade-level benchmarks or responding to intervention. At last, you'll know which math facts each of your students has mastered with automaticity.

Bring your classroom right into your students' homes for math success.

You can't argue with proven research. Students perform better when parents are actively involved in the learning process. By logging onto Renaissance Home Connect* from their home computer, parents can access real-time information in English or Spanish to help them stay up to date and keep their children motivated. Students and parents can:

  • See progress toward math facts goals.
  • View performance on latest practice session—including problems answered incorrectly.
  • Practice math facts using the same program as at school.
  • Register to receive email notifications when a child has mastered a level.

*Does not allow testing for mastery in Accelerated Math Fluency from home.

 Accelerated Math Fluency supports ELLs.
